"Flower-Making PAUSE: Honoring the rich culture and resiliency of the Latino community” with Yessenia Arias

  • Studio Pause 4710 Columbia Pike Arlington, Virginia, 22204 United States (map)

“Day of the Dead is about honoring and celebrating the lives of loved ones lost.  It is a holiday most well known to be celebrated in Mexico, but is also celebrated across other Latin American countries, like Bolivia, where my family is from. Decorating altars with food and colorful flowers and other decorations is part of the many traditions.

Please join us for a Thursday PAUSE in which we will be making paper flowers together to celebrate life.  We are honoring the rich culture and resiliency of the Latino community as well to close out Hispanic Heritage Month.”
